Thanks, Lisa. I would like to use a ning in my classes, so I thought I would start by joining one myself. I am excited about connecting with other English teachers who are using technology and trying new approaches.

Thank you for the welcome Lisa. I happened to read your blog post about using Goodreads in your class, and I'd love to hear how it goes. I'm thinking about using Goodreads with my second semester freshmen, because we do a unit on Independent Reading. Have a great year!

Hi! Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I teach all senior English; two sections of honors and two of "traditional" (standard), plus a very small journalism class. Our set curriculum for seniors is British Lit survey.

I've just set up a classroom blog at http://www.englishalley.blogspot.com. I need to get my links together and other things added, but at least it's a start, right?

Lisa,
Is there a way to add my goodreads bookshelf to my Literacy Lighthouse page?

Thanks, Lisa. I'm looking forward to watching this site grow. Your other sites are of great interest to me as I begin my journey of integrating more technology into my classroom. I have many questions!

Thanks, Lisa, for making the site. I am very excited to have a place for high school teachers specifically.
